pbMAIL is the email sub-system built into PerpetualBudget. It supports two email methods:
- SMTP/POP3 email engine for Internet users
- Outlook/Exchange interface to Microsoft Office
By far, the Outlook interface is the most popular and contains the best features, including:
- Automated retrieval of budget manager replies
- Delete on retrieve
- Store in folder on retrieve
- Save history files of user replies
- Roll-back to previous user reply
The Outlook integration is seamless in that it automatically detects an authenticated Exchange user and configures the mail engine.
