PERPETUALBUDGET V1.50 INTRODUCES NETWORK TEAM MANAGEMENT FOR EXCEL BUDGETS
Lodi, CA Spicer-Baer Associates, Inc. has released PerpetualBudget v1.50 for network team management of Excel budgets. The PerpetualBudget System creates Excel budgets and manages any Excel budget from a Windows interface. The latest release, available on the web at http://www.spicer-baer.com, allows any PerpetualBudget installation to host their database on the network to create a group database for financial team management. The initiating user becomes the Super-Admin User creating accounts for other finance Admin Users and granting budget permissions. This allows financial analysts to collaborate with other finance administrators on the network. Example of team budget management using PerpetualBudget include remote budget administration and updating, group budget debugging and multi-department rollups.
The PerpetualBudget System uses two programs to address the needs of Excel budgeting. The first program, PerpetualBudget v1.50 is a Windows interface which creates a user file network for automated updating, tracks changes to the Excel files and assists in managing the budget cycle through an email system, visual alerting and online logging. The second program, PerpetualBudgetXL is an add-in for Excel for creating budget workbooks. Both programs share a common database locally that keeps budget data current. The database is installed and maintained by the program.
The new network database mode for PerpetualBudget provides secure Admin User level access. Encryption of sensitive data is dynamically refreshed to improve security. PerpetualBudget allows secure migration of budget data between the local and network databases, enabling the development of budgets locally then migrating the tested system to the network.
